We have been providing air solutions since 1963 so we have naturally put ourselves forward as a potential supplier to the NHS of Compressed Air and Pneumatic systems and related equipment . This is the reply we’ve received:
CABINET OFFICE
NHS VENTILATOR CHALLENGE
Tuesday 31 March 2020
Hello,
Thank you very much for your offer of support for the Government effort to address the increased need for ventilators as a result of COVID-19. We have now been contacted by over 5000 organisations and individuals and are hugely grateful.
Government is focused on a number of approaches to mobilise the required number of ventilators, including but not limited to, ramping up production at existing ventilator manufacturers, sourcing alternative models and developing new, easy to manufacture models. We are already engaging with a number of you to help achieve this goal.
We have, and continue to receive, a large volume of offers of support which means you may not receive a response to your offer immediately.
As we go through this process we will be matching requirements to the most relevant offers of support, and either we or one of the firms we have already started working with will reach out to you as and when that need arises. You may already have had that call, thank you for being so responsive.
Thank you also to those companies offering either to supply existing ventilators or put us in touch with agents who have them. We are following up on those urgently. If you hear of more, please, if you have not already done so, send details of the model, specification, country of origin, estimated delivery date and volume to: [email protected].
Once again, thank you for your support; we face a serious challenge but thanks to the help you and others have offered we are together making significant progress.
Gareth Rhys Williams,
Government Chief Commercial Officer
